Principle of operation
The operating principle of the dirt separator is based on the combined action of several physical phenomena.
The inner element (1) is constituted by a set of lattice surfaces arranged in a radial pattern. The impurities present in the water, colliding with such surfaces, are separated precipitating in the lower part of the body (2) in which they are collected.
Furthermore, the large internal volume of the dirt separator ensures that the speed of the fluid flow is reduced in such a way that it is favoured, by gravity, the separation of the particles contained in it.
The discharge of collected impurities is carried out, also with the system running, by opening the drain cock (3). The dirt separator is designed in such a way that, in it is indifferent to the direction of flow of the heat transfer fluid
